First year Roto-Rooter drain service technicians can expect top-pay, with pay increases as experience grows. The average earnings for this position at our Austin, Texas branch is between $60,000-$80,000 a year. Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus ongoing training to pursue a journeyman plumber’s license. Responsibilities Provide solutions to sewer and drain problems on service calls using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools. Diagnose problems and provide cost estimates to close the sale. unclog and clean sewers and drains for customers. Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone. Collect payment and proceed to the next service call. Requirements A valid driver’s license. Effective communication skills. Mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior experience is not necessary.
