As a Security Officer Access Screening in Port Isabel, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering service with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, register visitors, and control authorized access for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access points, remaining alert to unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and/or potential hazards common to a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Assist with screening processes, maintain accurate logs and records, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of post orders and security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
