How you will make contributions that matter...

The Warehouse Lead supports and coordinates warehouse/shipping department activities to drive efficient operations on assigned shifts and areas. This includes coordinating and assigning customer orders, shipments, receiving product, addressing product and employee concerns, and problem resolving. This person supports Company's policies/procedures, while following all CI processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS).

Responsibilities include:

• Leading a shift of team members, coordinating shipping and/or warehouse operations including shipping schedules, loading operations and material handling activities.
• Performing product inventory activities, confirming physical inventory quantity and location, reporting variances.
• Performing employing training for new employees, current employees, actively communicating procedures and workflow. Documenting training progression to include training gaps and opportunities.
• Monitoring and communicating employees' work schedules to meet needs of business. Providing scheduling support to backfill vacancies to minimize department operation disruption.
• Recommending improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving the targeted Sales to Service Goals.
• Performing all required EWM SAP transactions, completing all required documentation.
• Analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving work problems.
• Maintaining time and shipping records as required. Preparing required reports.
• Ensuring the warehouse work areas are clean and organized at all times.
• Coordinating product rework activities.
• Collaborating, communicating and providing cross-functional support with other departments to minimize warehouse operations disruption.
• Performing back-up Warehouse Driver responsibilities when required.
• Performing back-up Shipping Clerk responsibilities when required.
• Adhering to the Saputo code of ethics and actively applying the Saputo values.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Are familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Have experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Can follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
• Have lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications, SAP a plus.
• Have excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Can adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; lead others through change.
• Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Have skills in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Are a strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
• Have the ability to coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees.
• Have physical abilities including the ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods of time in a manufacturing facility.
• Can work in environments that include wet, cold, hot, humid, chemicals, high noise controlled at TWA of 85dB, wear approved personal protective equipment.

Pay Rate: $ 30.89 + $1.50/hr shift differential
