Technician, Low Voltage, Licensed

Position Summary Assists in the operation of multiple departments throughout the facility. Performs additional job‑related responsibilities as assigned. What you’ll do Setup and configure low‑voltage systems such as security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, and network cabling. Run, terminate, and label cables according to project requirements and industry standards. Perform regular maintenance checks and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime. Provide technical support and train end users on operation and maintenance of low‑voltage systems. Address customer inquiries and ensure installations and repairs comply with all regulations and safety guidelines. Maintain detailed records and generate reports on system performance and maintenance activities. Evaluate and upgrade existing systems to improve performance or comply with new standards. Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure project completion. Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Minimum Qualifications Hold state and jurisdiction required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work. High school diploma or equivalent. Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Prior work experience in a role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards. Preferred Qualifications BICSI Installer Certification CompTIA networking certifications (e.g., Network+) Manufacturer‑specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch) NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification/training Technical training or certification in low‑voltage systems Primary Location 6225 Coliseum Blvd, Alexandria, LA 71303-3721, United States of America.
