Pulmonary / Observation Med-Surg Tele RN Travel Contract

Weekly Hours:
• 36 hrs/week (3x12s)

Shift Options:
• Days: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Unit Details:
• 32-bed Pulmonary & Observation Unit
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Adult and Geriatric patients

Requirements:
• Previous travel experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Strong Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• Critical drip experience required
• Trach care experience required
• Strong cardiac background required
• Peritoneal Dialysis experience preferred

Patient Population:
• Respiratory diagnoses
• Observation patients
• Medical conditions
• Tracheostomy patients (non-vented)

Required Drip Experience:
• Heparin
• Cardizem (up to 15 mg/hr)
• Lasix
• Dopamine (low-dose renal perfusion)
• Amiodarone

Respiratory Equipment:
• CPAP
• BiPAP
• High-Flow Oxygen
• Trach Collar Care

Unit Support:
• Monitor Techs available 24/7
• Charge RN on every shift
• House Supervisor available 24/7
• CNA Support:

• Days: 1:10
• Nights: 1:15

Schedule:
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation with core staff
• Block scheduling available based on unit needs

Float Requirements:
• 4 Pavilion Telemetry
• 5 Pavilion Med-Surg
• Emergency Department boarded patients as needed

Dress Code:
• Navy Blue Scrubs for RNs
• Closed-toe shoes required

Orientation:
• Hospital Orientation
• Nursing Orientation
• Computer Training
• Two 12-hour precepted shifts
