Maintenance EngineerThe Berkshire of Burnsville is a prestigious townhome community conveniently located just off I-35E, with close access to I-35W. We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards for our property and providing exceptional service to our residents.We are seeking an additional experienced, dependable Maintenance Engineer to support day-to-day maintenance operations for our rental townhome community. This role is hands-on and requires strong troubleshooting skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Applicants must provide their own tools.Location: Burnsville, MN Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay: $29- $33 per hour, depending on experience On-Call: Rotational nights and weekendsRequirementsComplete service requests and work orders in a timely, professional mannerPerform preventative and seasonal maintenance, including HVAC start-up/shut-downMaintain property grounds, building exteriors, interiors, and common areasDiagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issuesConduct routine inspections of buildings and report needed repairsCommunicate daily with Property Management regarding completed workParticipate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergenciesRequired Skills & QualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience in general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyProfessional, courteous communication with residents and staffKnowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practicesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical laborMust pass a background checkPreferred / Additional RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentWillingness to obtain a Boiler License within 6 months of employment (if required)Experience in multi-family or townhome communities is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly pay: $25–$30/hourStable daytime schedule (Mon–Fri)Well-maintained, high-quality communitySupportive management teamOpportunity for long-term growthMedical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental benefits, 401k, Paid Time Off
