This multi-faceted role will lead cross functional teams through development, integration, and test of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) Communication Systems. The ideal candidate should be an established leader that can leverage proven experience integrating systems into DOD platforms. You will work across functions including project management, planning, and engineering teams across the product lifecycle. The project engineer coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contracts.What You Will Do:Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion while meeting program schedule and budget.Plans, oversees, and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.Liaises between project management and planning, project teams, and line management.Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.Directs the work of employees assigned on projects in technical and administrative areas.Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.Responsible for managing the technical performance of a program team which may include multiple small programs (5-10) or a larger program (20-40).Prepares and maintains project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are completed, and project quality expectations are met.Leads a cross-functional team of engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems and Software) empowering them to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.Understands customer technical requirements and their derivation.
