Advanced Practice Provider Opportunity

Looking for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join a thriving and very busy ENT/Otolaryngology practice, working directly with a full-time outpatient ENT/Otolaryngology physician and partner with a tenured ENT Advanced Practice Provider. New graduates welcome. Prior ENT, Allergy, Dermatology, and/or Primary Care experience recommended/preferred, but not required! The ENT Department at Medical Center Clinic is currently comprised of 2 full-time ENT physicians and 1 full-time PA. The structure of the practice allows the physician and the Advanced Practice Provider to be efficient and highly productive in clinic. NO weekends and NO inpatient responsibilities.

Medical Center Clinic is a progressive, physician-owned group with over 70 providers, 15 specialties, and over 400 medical professionals. Our unique model gives our physicians advantages over the traditional models and provides additional income from ancillary lines of business such as a surgery center, outpatient imaging, and an optical shop.

Compensation Package May Include:

• Competitive base salary

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under direct, and at times general, supervision of the physician.
• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries or exacerbations of chronic disease.
• Order evidence-based testing, prescribe medications and refer to specialist as required.
• Prescribe and/or adjust prescription medications, in accordance with education and supervising physician management protocols. Assist in the training of health care personnel in certain diagnostic, therapeutic, and clinical techniques, as directed by the supervising physician.
• Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner.
• Typical clinic schedule will be 8-hours per day, Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 7:00am 4:00pm, and a half day on Friday, 7:00am 12:00pm.
• Be mentored by and work directly with highly qualified ENT physicians, with the opportunity and expectation to work independently.
• Average patient volume goals of up to 18 25 visits per day Very achievable in an ENT practice.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Successful Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• Licensure (or in the process of obtaining licensure) in the state of Florida as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
• Active DEA license not required prior to hire; however, supervising physician will communicate if this is required and the protocols for utilization.
• New graduates are welcome and considered for this position.
• Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrates customer-service skills.
• Be a person of integrity and character, willing to embrace change and make a positive impact in the lives of patients and co-workers.
• PC literate in a Windows environment.
• Ability to ambulate throughout a multi-story, multi-building facility.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including but not limited to holding, stooping, kneeling and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds without mechanical aid, for an extended period of time.
