Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: Nights | 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week

Weekly Gross: $2,100–$2,300 (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality nursing care in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit .

The ideal candidate will have strong Labor & Delivery experience, prior travel nursing experience, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit .
• Manage Labor & Delivery patients with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:2 .
• Work effectively as part of the core clinical staff and integrate into the unit's team environment.
• Provide safe and compassionate care while maintaining high clinical standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal condition.
• Float to other units and/or affiliated facilities as required.
• Participate in the required call schedule.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with clinical and organizational standards.
• Follow applicable patient-safety, infection-control, and hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience .
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to care for high-acuity Labor & Delivery patients .
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required .
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course must be completed and passed.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring preferred.
• EFM Certification preferred.
• Degree accreditation must be listed on the candidate profile OR candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience .
• Must be willing and able to float to other units and/or affiliated facilities as required.
• Must be willing to participate in the required call schedule.
