Tax AssociateA top CPA firm in the area is looking to add a Tax Associate to their team. This stable and growing firm offers clients valuable knowledge and expertise in tax. Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for a Tax Associate to join a team of highly motivated staff.Responsibilities:Organizing and analyzing clients' financial informationEstablishing and updating client recordsPreparing necessary forms for filing taxesAdvising clients about tax liabilities and other tax-related mattersFiling tax returns on paper or electronically on behalf of clientsStaying current on IRS and state and local tax rules and regulations and ensuring full complianceAssisting with audits by gathering and preparing financial informationQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA preferred or eligible1+ years of proven experience in public accounting preferredAnalytical skills to review financial informationStrong written and oral communication skills to explain information to clientsKnowledge of IRS rules and regulations as well as state and local tax lawsFamiliarity with tax preparation and accounting software and electronic tax filing systemsMultitasking skills to handle multiple clients' tax preparations at the same timeOrganizational skills to maintain clean recordsStrong time management skills to complete work within strict deadlinesWhat we offer:Competitive wageExcellent benefits package including health benefits (M/D/V), 401k with match, and PTOQuality service in a variety of industries/niche includedCompensation: $65,000-$90,000To be considered, please apply with a resume.
