Position Overview As a Shift Leader, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day success of the restaurant during your shift. You’ll lead the team, ensure an excellent guest experience, maintain high operational standards, and coach and develop the people around you. Our leaders begin by training as Team Members to learn our operation, culture, and standards firsthand. From there, you’ll be trained and developed to take ownership of shifts and lead the restaurant successfully. Shift Leader Duties & Responsibilities Lead, coach, encourage, and hold Team Members accountable Create a positive environment where people are cared for, challenged, and developed Set clear expectations and provide consistent feedback Lead by example and maintain high standards for yourself and the team Make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment Ensure an excellent guest experience through strong execution and attention to detail Help ensure appropriate staffing and positioning throughout the shift Communicate team performance and operational needs with restaurant leadership Take ownership of restaurant cleanliness, organization, and facilities Open or close the restaurant and ensure the team is set up for success Help achieve restaurant goals and business priorities Build strong relationships and help accomplish our purpose: “To be a Light to the Madison Community” What We Offer Full-time and part-time opportunities Every Sunday off Flexible scheduling Free food while working Free Princeton Club membership One-on-one development with senior leadership Leadership and advancement opportunities Health, vision, dental, 401(k), and paid vacation for eligible full-time team members What We’re Looking For Strong work ethic and reliability Positive attitude and servant-leadership mindset Excellent communication and team-building skills Ability to coach, develop, and hold others accountable Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Ability to remain composed and lead through challenging situations Willingness to take ownership and responsibility Desire to continually grow personally and professionally Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
