Accounting Specialist

Job Overview A well-established manufacturing firm is bringing on a sharp accounting professional to support their finance team during a 6-month leave coverage. You'll step into a structured, fast-moving environment where your AP and general accounting skills will be put to immediate use. Responsibilities Set up and maintain vendor accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records Process accounts payable transactions, including expense accruals, wire transfer reconciliations, and check issuance Manage inventory receiving processes and prepare related party accounting entries Prepare audit support materials and documentation for external auditors and parent company reviews Assist with ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications Experience in accounts payable or general accounting required Familiarity with vendor account management and AP workflows Ability to prepare and organize audit documentation Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Comfortable working in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment (a plus) Additional Information Hourly Pay: $22.00-$23.00/hr (depending on experience and qualifications) Employment Type: Temporary (approx. 6 months) Schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time Work Location: Amesbury, MA (onsite) We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our workforce.
