Vernon, IL Position Summary Performs a variety of in‑office and field tasks associated with land surveying projects obtained by the company. Primary Position Duties Consulting with clients, preparing proposals and contracts, providing guidance and direction to field crews and to engineering and surveying technicians, overseeing survey aspects of civil engineering projects, overseeing and/or directing the preparation of all types of survey plans, preparing flood‑elevation certificates, deed and plan research and review, fieldwork associated with land surveying, engineering and construction projects, survey computations and data collection, computer‑aided design and drafting Ensuring the preparation of accurate, complete, and value‑added work products, performing survey computations, ensuring timely document delivery, and delivering profitable projects Consistently meeting and exceeding client expectations by ensuring accurate, complete, and timely communication of information to and from clients and firm staff, performing quality‑control review of design plans, creating and maintaining a filing system on survey projects, performing billing functions, and monitoring opportunities to provide extra services Analyzing survey control, boundary, and topographical surveying utilizing GPS and conventional survey methods; preparing ALTA surveys Participating in project team meetings and following procedures outlined in the Project Management Standards manual Position Requirements Fluent English with reading, written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and other video‑conferencing software Ability to use Trimble surveying equipment and Business Center software or similar equipment/software Ability to collect and analyze data, apply problem‑solving skills to specific design tasks, develop creative solutions, work alone or as part of a project team, and demonstrate attention to detail Effective communication skills are essential for this position Bachelor of Science degree with surveying certification, or equivalent Surveyor in Training certification Current driver’s license Preferred: minimum of two (2) years of surveying experience Benefits Health Insurance 401(k) Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Long‑Term Disability FSA Supplemental life (voluntary) Dental (voluntary) Vision (voluntary) AFLAC (voluntary) #J-18808-Ljbffr
