Supply Chain M&A Specialist - Senior Consultant/Principal (Prior Management Consulting Experience is Required)

This is a role with one of Slalom’s global teams - we are open to hiring in many locations and travel will be required as needed by our clients. Who You'll Work With:We are seeking a Supply Chain M&A specialist to join our Supply Chain Strategy team, partnering directly with our Global M&A Capability practice. In this role, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to clients navigating complex mergers, acquisitions, and enterprise transformation initiatives where supply chain is a primary source of value and a primary source of risk. You will bring together supply chain domain depth, enterprise platform fluency, and sharp business acumen to shape strategy, lead delivery, and architect solutions that drive measurable outcomes.The Role: Supply Chain M&A SpecialistWhat You’ll Do:Strategic Advisory & M&A Support* Lead business and supply chain strategy engagements focused on M&A readiness, integration/separation planning, and enterprise capability assessment* Partner with client leadership to evaluate enterprise platform landscapes and identify supply chain synergies, one-time and run costs, gaps, and transformation opportunities* Develop and present strategic roadmaps that align technology capabilities with business value streams and GTM objectives* Facilitate executive workshops to align stakeholders on priorities, risks, and integration sequencingSupply Chain Domain Depth* Planning: Merger-driven demand and supply planning consolidation, forecast harmonization, S&OP and IBPO business process integration, and connected planning platform migration* Sourcing & Procurement: Spend and supplier overlap analysis, category rationalization, source-to-pay and procure-to-pay integration, and procurement data harmonization* Logistics& Distribution: Network design, DC and 3PL transition, transportation and warehouse system convergence, and new site or expansion program management* Manufacturing: Plant and site integration and separation, production transfer and requalification, capacity and footprint consolidation, and MES and shop-floor system convergence* Digital: Supply chain data transformation, product and material master data management, visibility and control tower build-out, and AI accelerators applied to integration/separation analysis Strategic Roadmap Development* Develop comprehensive strategic roadmaps that sequence enterprise platform initiatives across people, process, and technology dimensions, grounded in a firsthand understanding of what delivery and architecture decisions look like in practice* Apply delivery leadership and solution architecture experience to assess the feasibility, sequencing, and risk profile of enterprise initiatives*  Translate platform-level architectural trade-offs such as build vs. buy vs. integrate decisions, integration complexity, and data migration risk into strategic planning inputs that inform M&A integration timelines and investment priorities*  Identify and communicate dependencies, constraints, and critical path items that can only be surfaced by someone with hands-on platform configuration and engagement delivery experienceAnalysis & Estimation* Conduct detailed level-of-effort (LOE) analysis, complexity scoring, and risk assessments for enterprise initiatives* Develop strategic roadmaps that sequence workstreams across people, process, and technology dimensions* Produce high-quality deliverables including business cases, capability assessments, and implementation plansWhat you'll bring:ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience delivering supply chain and/or M&A projects in a consulting environment* Track record of managing client-facing engagements from initiation through post-go-live support* Experience working across multiple industries and client sizes is strongly preferredDemonstrated experience in both Delivery Lead and Solution Architect roles on the same or comparable engagements*  Ability to context-switch between strategic leadership and hands-on technical design* Proven ability to manage ambiguity while maintaining delivery rigorTechnical ExpertiseStrong hands-on background configuring enterprise business platform applications* Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or comparable ERP/CRM systems with exposure to supply chain platforms such as SAP IBP or S/4 supply chain modules, Anaplan, Kinaxis,o9, Blue Yonder, Coupa, or WMS/TMS systems* Working knowledge of supply chain data structures, such as material and product master, BOM, vendor master, and item/location hierarchies *  Familiarity with enterprise integration tools, APIs, and middleware platformsProficiency with enterprise AI tools including ChatGPT Enterprise and Claude Enterprise* Experience leveraging AI-assisted workflows for analysis, documentation, and strategic synthesis* Ability to identify and champion responsible AI adoption within client environmentsBusiness & Strategic AcumenDeep understanding of GTM motions, business capabilities, and value streams enabled by enterprise applications* Knowledge of how platforms support Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Service operations* Ability to connect platform capabilities to revenue, efficiency, and customer experience outcomesStrong analytical skills to assess LOE, complexity, and risk across enterprise initiatives* Experience developing strategic roadmaps with clear prioritization logic and dependency mapping* For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for Senior Consultant in Silicon Valley and San Francisco is $131,000 to $185,000. And for Boston, LA, White Plains, New Jersey, New York City, Seattle, San Diego, Orange County, and Washington DC the range is $149,000 to $176,000. And for all other locations the range is $137,000 to $160,000.The targeted base salary pay range for Principal in Silicon Valley and San Francisco is $168,000 to $240,000. And for Boston, LA, White Plains, New Jersey, New York City, Seattle, San Diego, Orange County, and Washington DC the range is $154,000 - $220,000. And for all other locations the range is $141,000 - $200,000.In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
