Bioassay Scientist - Entry Level Location: Gaithersburg, MD. Responsibilities Supporting cell-based bioassays and binding assays for biological characterization and testing of biopharmaceutical products Carrying out bioanalytical cell-based assay testing of recombinant protein therapeutics Assisting in the identification and evaluation of new technologies Making detailed observations, analyzing data, interpreting results, and exercising appropriate technical discretion in the design and execution of experiments Performing cell culture, maintaining cell lines, and performing routine lab equipment maintenance Presenting results at internal meetings Ideal Candidate Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Good time management, outstanding multi-tasking abilities, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude Ability to learn new techniques, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies Good documentation skills Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other related concentration with 0-2 years of relevant experience working with cell-based assays in an industry environment Prior experience with cell culture and in vitro assays, and their application in biological characterization for biologics Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Hiring Process 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader Additional Details The position is full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Gaithersburg, MD, are encouraged to apply.
