As the Manager of Financial Data and Analytics for the Shipboard Financial Analytics group, you will lead a team of analysts responsible for delivering high‑impact financial and operational insights that support Carnival Cruise Line’s shipboard teams. You will play a critical role in guiding the development of data‑driven strategies, managing forecasting processes, and ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our analytics platforms. Essential Functions Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Financial Data Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability. Strategic Analytics Oversight: Guide execution of technical analysis, data modelling, and dashboard development (primarily in Tableau) to support shipboard financial and operational performance. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as key liaison between the analytics team and business leaders, ensuring alignment on priorities and delivering insights that drive measurable outcomes. Data Governance & Quality: Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data through validation processes and ongoing maintenance of reporting systems. Innovation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities, streamline workflows, and implement best practices in data visualization and analytics. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bridges shipboard operations and shore‑side leadership, ensuring consistency in financial reporting and insight delivery across the fleet. Solves complex analytical challenges that affect shipboard financial performance and operational efficiency, including anticipating data inconsistencies, designing scalable dashboards and forecasting tools, evaluating financial implications, and navigating ambiguity with structured problem‑solving. Broad business impact: influences cost control, revenue optimization, operational efficiency; establishes best practices; aligns analytics with corporate strategy; partners with Finance, Operations, and IT; empowers leadership with data‑driven decisions. Technical skills: Excellent analytical and auditing skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power BI, PowerPoint) and SQL; knowledge of EBS an asset. Soft skills: Excellent interpersonal, English verbal/written communication; ability to multitask; supportive of accounting duties when needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s a plus. Solid understanding of financial planning and analysis functions (annual budget, capital budgeting, resource allocation); ability to develop solutions where precedents do not exist; cross‑functional problem solving; risk mitigation; strong analytical and organizational skills. Proficient in Power BI/Tableau, SQL, and data warehousing concepts; 5+ years’ experience. Proven experience in financial analytics, data visualization, team leadership, stakeholder management, and translating complex data into actionable insights. Understanding of the cruise industry and its unique challenges is highly beneficial. Travel No or very little travel likely. Work Conditions Work mainly in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Location & Working Hours This in‑office role is based at a Carnival office in South Florida, Monday through Thursday. Fridays may be worked from home. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
