Registered Nurse (RN) – Clallam Bay Corrections Center Schedule: Saturday–Wednesday Graveyard 9:50 PM–6:20 AM (Thursday and Friday off) Salary: Monthly $7,832.00–$12,839.00 (Hourly $45.01–$73.79). Shift differential: $2.50/hr for evening/night shift, $1.00/hr for 11 PM–7 AM duties, $3.00/hr for Friday midnight–Sunday midnight. CBCC is located in Clallam Bay, WA, 50 miles west of Port Allegany, on the Olympic Peninsula. Responsibilities Access, monitor, and interpret objective and subjective data. Develop nursing diagnoses and outcomes. Plan delivery of health care, define timeframes, prioritize and sequence care. Implement care plans by providing direct patient care and directing others. Analyze and evaluate the structure, process, and timeframes for service delivery and outcomes; revise plan of care as necessary. Employ appropriate safety techniques in patient movements and load handling. Delegate tasks to staff and supervise their implementation. Teach, instruct, supervise, and evaluate tasks assigned to other personnel. Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and electronically with incarcerated individuals, families, and other health care personnel. Protect confidentiality of health records and maintain accurate, legible, complete records. Write nursing care plans and interdisciplinary treatment plans; document clinical findings and rationale. Respond to health care emergencies throughout the facility, including CPR and triage. Assess subjective and objective symptoms during triage, clinics, and infirmary rounds; initiate interventions per policies. Administer medication, dressing changes, vital sign monitoring, specimen collection, IV and other treatments, and assist with minor surgeries. Remain on duty until replacement arrives and maintain continuity of care. Establish therapeutic relationships that preserve professional boundaries with patients. Actively participate in the Correctional Healthcare Team: coach, mentor, quality improvement, and clinical oversight. When hired as RN 1, complete 12‑month training and progress to RN 2 after proof of competency. Qualifications Registered Nurse2 Required Qualifications: Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in Washington. One year of RN experience. Certification in American Heart Association CPR. Proficiency in computer programs for patient data entry and communication. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Desired Qualifications: Experience in acute care or correctional facility. Certification as a Correctional Healthcare Professional. On‑call Nurses: Available to work all shifts including weekends and holidays. Willing to work at least 8 shifts a month. Provide written availability for the following month by the 5 th day. Willingness to complete paid core training (not required). Important Notes Must provide proof of identity and work eligibility per I‑9. Background check, drug test, and TB screening may be required. Eligible employees must be able to work in a potentially hazardous correctional setting. Ongoing training includes safety, respiratory protection, and emergency response.
