Location: Burlington & Ottumwa, IA Job Type: Full-Time (Open to Part-Time) Practice Setting: School-Based / Early Intervention (Birth to Age 3) Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (194-Day School Contract)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated audiologist to provide hearing screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing support for children in a school-based setting. This role focuses on early detection, intervention, and collaboration with families, educators, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings for early identification of hearing loss
- Perform diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological evaluations
- Coordinate care and provide follow-up with families and healthcare teams
- Participate in Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EDHI) programs
- Recommend, maintain, and troubleshoot assistive listening devices
- Communicate hearing status to school personnel and clinical teams
- Supervise audio metrists per licensure requirements
- Maintain equipment calibration and accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent
- Audiologist Endorsement required
- Eligible for or holding Professional Service License
- Open to new graduates
- Strong knowledge of pediatric audiology and hearing care
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Certifications:
- Audiologist Endorsement (required)
- State Licensure (required or eligible)
