Litigation Attorney

A respected, regional law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing Columbus office. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated civil litigation matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a variety of civil defense litigation matters, commercial, transportation, and casualty litigation
• Manage cases through all phases of litigation, from initial investigation through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Prepare and respond to written discovery
• Conduct depositions and assist with case strategy
• Communicate with clients regarding case status and litigation strategy
• Evaluate liability and damages and assist with developing case recommendations

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience
• Background in defense litigation, particularly corporate/business or employment matters preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
