About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse, Dialysis Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Registered Nurse, Dialysis Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3 shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 9 months clinical nursing experience, 3 months specialized experience in dialysis care License: Must hold and maintain Registered Nursing license Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Two-year degree in nursing required; Four-year degree preferred; Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail Description: The Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare. Assessment of Hemodialysis patients leads to the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans. Administers, monitors, and documents therapeutic interventions and regimens. Effectively manages rapidly changing patient situations, including delegating care to other department members. Assists providers with patient-related needs before, during, and after hemodialysis care, ensuring timely and caring service. Triages and sets up extra care at other facilities for patients. Obtains lab specimens and performs lab competencies and quality controls regularly. Educates patients and/or family members regarding disease processes, individual care needs, and safety issues. Attends daily huddles and monthly meetings, participating in daily clinical decision-making. Performs other duties as requested by supervisors or providers.
