Physical Therapist Assistant

Role Overview: The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being within the scope of practice. Key Responsibilities Follow state laws and supervised treatment plans, performing only qualified procedures, and recommend plan adjustments to the supervising PT. Assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training. Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy within the assistant's scope. Qualifications & Skills Current licensure, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy. CPR certification, valid driver's license, reliable transportation. Ability to work in diverse home settings and assist with physical tasks like lifting and transferring. Availability for weekend rotations.
