Forklift Material HandlerXyant Technology, established in 1995, is a premier federal systems integrator that provides technical and business solutions in information technology, systems engineering, scientific support and management consulting.Winner of Nationwide Best of the Best Small Business Award from Federal AviationJob DescriptionJob Title: Forklift Material HandlerLocation: Sterling, VA (Onsite)Duration: Long-term ContractDirect Client NeedPosition Summary:The Inventory Material Shipping & Receiving supports aerospace manufacturing and operations by managing the flow, storage, and accuracy of materials used in production.This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, tracking, and issuing materials in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Working closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams, you will ensure materials are available, traceable, and fully compliant with aerospace and customer specifications.Responsibilities:Perform daily shipping, receiving, and comprehensive inventory management tasks.Un-box incoming materials, box/pack outgoing shipments, and execute warehouse "put aways" using specialized equipment.Safely operate a forklift and reach truck to move, stack, and organize materials.Record all inventory and customer transactions accurately into the SAP database and perform routine data entry.Coordinate and work closely with logistics, quality, and manufacturing staff to ensure operational efficiency.Regularly lift, carry, and move warehouse materials weighing up to 50 lbs.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations.Experience in Material Shipping & Receiving is a must.Must currently possess or be able to quickly obtain a valid Forklift certification.Proven ability to safely operate a Reach Truck.Experience working in a stock room environment and performing cycle counts.Proficiency with MS Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel).High School Diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) OR vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
