Become a part of our caring communityHumana's Corporate Strategy team is a small, high-performing group that works closely with senior leadership to establish the future course for the company. In Corporate Strategy, you will identify and analyze growth opportunities and work with business leaders to prioritize options and set the long-term strategy agenda. The team has frequent interactions with Humana’s CEO and regularly manages deliverables for Humana’s broader Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Our team also undertakes internal consulting engagements across a wide range of topics.The Corporate Strategy Lead plays a critical role in the successful delivery of projects, owning responsibility for one or more simultaneously and managing workstreams of junior colleagues. Leads are required to manage the scope of work, understand the needs of stakeholders within Corporate Strategy and elsewhere in Humana, and ensure high-quality results that bring out the best thinking of the team. Examples of project work include identifying and evaluating growth opportunities across our lines of business, developing market and competitive strategies, assessing partnership and acquisition opportunities, designing operating model / organizational improvements, and supporting pilots / innovation opportunities for various business leadersKey Responsibilities:Lead strategic analyses and recommendations on high-priority enterprise initiatives.Facilitate discussions with business leaders to identify opportunities and address strategic challenges.Develop business cases to support investment decisions and growth initiatives.Translate strategic recommendations into actionable implementation plans.Mentor analysts and provide guidance on project execution and analytical approaches.Collaborate with Corporate Strategy colleagues, and contribute to a high-performing, inclusive, and supportive team environmentUse your skills to make an impact Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree5+ years of consulting, strategy, or relevant corporate experience (i.e., strategic in nature vs. primarily operational)Analytical skills (ex: quantitative analysis and research, financial modeling)Conceptual skills (ex: translating ambiguous problem statements into structured frameworks, generating hypotheses independently and testing them, synthesizing complex information into digestible executive insights, managing cross-functional stakeholders)Preferred QualificationsGraduate from a top-tier master’s program in business, health administration, or related fieldMeaningful experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking / corporate developmentRelevant healthcare experience, especially in payer industryLocation: Working locations are primarily Louisville, KY, and Arlington, VA (Washington, DC metro area); also open to candidates living in or willing to relocate to Chicago or Nashville. The Strategy team operates on a hybrid schedule with an expectation of 2 to 3 in‑office days per week. Relocation assistance available. Travel: Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$138,900 - $191,100 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
