Payroll Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for field and office employees across multiple states
• Administer union payroll in accordance with IBEW agreements and job classifications
• Calculate and remit:
• • Pension and annuity contributions
  • Health & welfare benefits
  • Union dues and working assessments
• Manage multi-state tax compliance and filings
• Process wage garnishments, levies, and child support orders
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws (Davis-Bacon, state-specific requirements)
• Reconcile payroll reports and coordinate with accounting
• Maintain accurate employee and payroll records
• Serve as point of contact for payroll-related inquiries

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of union payroll experience (electrical/construction strongly preferred)
• Experience processing weekly payroll
• Strong knowledge of:
• • Multi-state payroll tax regulations
  • Garnishments and deductions
  • Union benefit fund reporting
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred:

• Experience working with IBEW locals
• Familiarity with certified payroll reporting
• Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Miter, Foundation, or similar)
