Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care UnitLocation: Baltimore, MarylandAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) with a patient ratio of 1:2.Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-level nursing care to infant, pediatric, and adolescent patients with critical health conditions.Responsibilities:Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Monitor patient vital signs and assist in emergency situations.Manage patients on continuous drips, arterial lines, and central lines.Provide care for ventilated pediatric patients and handle acute airway management.Conduct ICP monitoring and administer moderate sedation as necessary.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.Document patient information accurately using Cerner charting system.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is required.Current BCLS/BLS, PALS, and Basic EKG certifications are mandatory.Maryland or compact RN license is required upon submission.Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management, as well as experience with anti-seizure medications and pediatric dosage calculations.Comfortable with caring for ventilated patients and managing BiPAP/CPAP.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
