Director of Production - Grand Prix Plaza

Grand Prix Plaza, home of the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix, is a world-class entertainment and event destination spanning approximately 39 acres in the heart of the Las Vegas Grand Prix circuit. The 300,000-square-foot facility features immersive Formula 1 attractions, premium hospitality experiences, event and meeting venues, retail, food and beverage offerings, and year-round activations that attract guests from across the globe. As both a daily operating entertainment venue and a critical component of one of the world's most recognized sporting events, Grand Prix Plaza requires a high-performing operational structure capable of delivering exceptional experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service, and facility excellence. Position Overview The Director of Production serves as the leader responsible for all the experiences and production operations across Grand Prix Plaza. This position provides strategic leadership for Production, Guest Experience, Box Office, and Karting operations, ensuring all attractions, technical systems, guest interactions, and show elements consistently deliver a premium and memorable experience. Working closely with the General Manager and cross-functional departments, the Director of Production drives operational strategy, financial performance, workforce development, guest satisfaction, and continuous innovation across the venue's immersive attractions and entertainment offerings. This role is responsible for ensuring all production and guest experience elements remain operationally ready to support daily business, private events, seasonal activations, and the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix. Responsibilities Develop and execute operational strategies that support organizational goals, business growth, and long-term venue objectives. Provides overall leadership and direction for Production, Guest Experience, Box Office, and Karting departments. Leads, develops, and mentors departmental leadership teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement. Establishes operational standards, guest service expectations, performance metrics, and departmental goals to drive exceptional guest satisfaction and revenue performance. Oversees annual operating budgets, capital planning, labor strategies, and financial performance for all production and guest-facing departments. Directs the planning, integration, and execution of attraction enhancements, technical upgrades, new experiences, venue activations, and special events. Provides executive oversight of attraction reliability, show quality, technical systems, and operational readiness across all guest-facing experiences. Manages key vendor relationships, production partners, service providers, and equipment suppliers to ensure performance, quality, and financial objectives are achieved. Partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support venue-wide initiatives, operational readiness, and organizational goals. Ensures compliance with all applicable safety standards, operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices associated with attractions, entertainment, and guest operations. Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications 9+ years of progressive leadership experience within entertainment venues, attractions, theme parks, sports venues, immersive experiences, or hospitality operations. Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across production, guest experience, attractions, entertainment, box office, or related operational functions. Proven experience managing operating budgets, labor planning, capital expenditures, and departmental financial performance. Strong knowledge of attraction operations, live entertainment production, technical systems, guest experience management, and venue operations. Experience overseeing third-party vendors, production contractors, service providers, and strategic partnerships. Knowledge of OSHA requirements, risk management practices, life safety standards, and operational compliance requirements. Experience supporting large-scale events, attraction launches, venue activations, or public-facing entertainment operations. Strong business knowledge with the ability to analyze operational metrics, guest feedback, revenue performance, and financial reporting. Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Work Schedule This is a full-time position that works a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Seasonal & Event-based Responsibilities This role includes a seasonal period during which responsibilities extend beyond standard operations. During load-in and load-out of the Grand Prix Plaza facility, race week activations, and other special projects, this position may support non-traditional functions that fall outside a routine. Flexibility, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability are essential and required during these high-impact times.
