Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or compact RN license and multiple emergency-focused certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• Night shift, 3x12hr shifts, 1945-0615
• Weekend shifts required
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• May require floating to other departments within scope of competency
• May require on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA-issued and not expiring prior to start)
• ENPC certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive treatment to patients
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Background check and drug screen results required prior to start, with timelines strictly enforced
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must have a one-year separation before eligibility for this assignment
