Big Hometown Motorsports is seeking a Service Writer to join our team in Marietta, Ohio. Duties include accepting customer vehicles, recognizing problems, servicing customer needs and selling additional services to each customer. Scheduling work and assigning jobs to service technicians and communicating job status to customers. Keeping accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership are essential. Assuring that all charges related to work orders are posted properly and are closed on a timely basis. Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and politely Gather customer and vehicle information Understand and Document vehicle symptoms described by the customer Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of repair and maintenance cost for the customer Clearly communicate repair and maintenance timeline to the customer Promptly notify customers of any changes, delays, or additional work needed Reconcile work performed and associated costs on the repair order Explain work that was done to the customer upon pick-up Re-Schedule customer for their next routine maintenance appointment Qualifications & Job Requirements Superior communication and customer service skills Sales and Selling skills Knowledge and experience with motorcycles and off-road vehicles Base pay based on experience plus commission on sales #J-18808-Ljbffr
