Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to patients in the ICU, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through skilled intervention and monitoring across various critical care units.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions continuously to identify changes requiring intervention.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, following protocols.
• Monitor and operate advanced ICU equipment, including CRRT, Prismaflex, ICP monitors, and ventricular drains.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Document patient care activities, observations, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to code situations and emergencies, providing life-saving interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license with verification and compliant with state regulations.
• Possess at least 2 years of ICU experience, with 4-5 years preferred, including specific critical care skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ICU-specific equipment, including CRRT, Ventriculostomy, and ICP monitoring.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Possess a valid driver's license with address matching demographics.
• Have recent travel ICU experience documented in the resume.
