About Us Cecil College was founded in 1968 to meet the post-secondary and continuing education needs of Cecil County residents. The College is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the governor. The College’s fifth president, Dr. Mary Way Bolt, reports directly to the Board of Trustees. Cecil College is centrally located in Maryland’s northeastern county, just one half mile from Interstate 95. It is accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as from Wilmington, Delaware. With a diverse student population, Cecil College enrolls approximately 2,500 credit students and 3,400 non-credit students. Cecil offers associate degrees, certificate programs and non-credit classes. General Duties Adjunct Instructor of Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking is needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-person, daytime classes in accordance with Cecil College-approved syllabi and the stipulations of the Department of English and Humanities, on our main campus or on a nearby high school campus. The Fiscal Year 2026 Credit Adjunct Scale is as follows: 2 semesters of less at Cecil ($830 a credit hour for individuals with less than a Masters+60 or $855 a credit hour for individuals Masters+60 or a Earned Doctorate); More than 2 semesters at Cecil ($855 a credit hour for individuals with less than a Masters+60 or $880 a credit hour for individuals Masters+60 or a Earned Doctorate).
