- Preparing and organizing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring every tool is in place
- Upholding stringent sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Assisting surgeons and surgical assistants by providing necessary instruments and supplies
- Managing surgical equipment efficiently before, during, and after each procedure
- Overseeing inventory and ensuring that all supplies are readily available for operations
- Working side by side with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure continuity of care
- Keeping accurate surgical counts and documentation throughout the procedure
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification is necessary
- BLS certification (or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment)
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures across various specialties
- Exemplary communication skills and ability to work in high-pressure settings
- Quick prioritization skills and responsiveness to the surgical team's needs
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and cleanliness
