# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse Emergency Room – Texas

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating weekends. 36 or 48 hours per week based on facility approval. 13-week contract. No on-call requirements.

Highlights:

• 48 private rooms with comprehensive emergency department including fast track and behavioral health units
• Patient ratios: 1:4 ED general, 1:5 behavioral health, 1:3 cardiac/trauma
• MEDITECH EMR system with modern equipment including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, Stryker stretchers
• Diverse case mix including trauma, cardiac, splinting, central lines, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation
• Strong team environment with active unit-based council and social committee
• Established night shift structure with charge nurse plus 11 staff RNs, PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs for comprehensive support

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or compact state license
• BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI certification preferred
• Previous emergency department experience required
• Trauma and inpatient holding experience preferred
• MEDITECH EMR experience preferred
