Licensed Practical Nurse

LPNs who work in nursing homes can expect to have responsibilities that include admitting new residents, assisting physicians during rounds of residents' rooms, assigning and delegating duties to non-licensed nursing staff, monitoring resident care and supervising other nursing staff, performing ongoing assessments of residents' physical and mental health, and explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents.

Submission requirements include 2+ years of experience, EPIC experience strongly preferred, and a COVID vaccine is required. The main location will be Mackinac Island, but there may be occasional needs in St. Ignace Clinic.

Certification requirements include BLS (AHA) and a state license in Michigan. Additional license requirements must be active at the time of submission.

Services include dual license for both skilled and basic care, long term care as well as short term rehab care, accommodations for residents requiring Hospice Care, nursing care, restorative care, activities and social services. Accepting Medicare Skilled, Medicaid, VA and private pay. Dress code: matching scrubs.
