Echocardiography Technologist

Role Overview: The Echo Sonographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams under physician supervision to identify abnormalities and support patient diagnosis. Key Responsibilities: Conducts ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels, prepares exam rooms, obtains patient history, and explains procedures. Reviews and ensures quality of images, documents patient information accurately, and communicates effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Monitors equipment safety, maintains supplies, and participates in quality initiatives to enhance patient care and workflow. Qualifications & Skills: High School diploma, RDCS or RCS certification (or obtain within 18 months), and healthcare provider life support certification. Preferred: associate degree and one year ultrasound experience. Requires manual dexterity, strong communication skills, ability to lift and move patients/equipment, and adaptability to busy environments.
