INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST II (CABLING/ AV SPECIALIST) (CLASS CODE 0163)

Responsibilities Advanced technical, professional and administrative work in designing, integrating, and managing telecommunications, audio/visual (A/V) and data communications technology systems and related infrastructure for the Sewerage and Water Board. Work includes overseeing, installing, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems and A/V technologies. Also oversees various types of cabling, supports A/V systems in conference rooms, training rooms, and public‑facing meeting spaces, and ensures reliable functionality during public meetings. Qualifications One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in structured cabling, low‑voltage systems and audio/visual installation, and at least a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, telecommunication or a related field. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in structured cabling, low‑voltage systems and audio/visual installation, and at least an Associate’s Degree in computer science, telecommunication or a related field. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in structured cabling, low‑voltage installation and audio/visual system support. No degree required. A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
