GI Hospitalist needed in Palm Beach County, FL!

GI Hospitalist – Palm Beach County, FL We are seeking a GI Hospitalist physician to start immediately as an independent contractor. The position follows a 7‑day on / 7‑day off schedule (for a total of 26 weeks) with a start date of August 15th. Flexibility is available regarding the structure of the role. Base salary expectations are $375,000 to $425,000 based on experience, plus a 20% collections bonus and a benefits package. The hospital maintains 235 beds and requires a GI on premises daily as the in‑house GI consultant on call. Responsibilities Round on patients and take call during your on‑shift weeks; see patients as needed. Maintain your own practice during your week off; no required hours off‑shift and no lodging at the hospital. Schedule and perform procedures as required; provide consults as needed. Collaborate with a nurse practitioner who rounds and performs consults Monday–Friday. Procedures Preferred: colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy (UGE), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Required: colonoscopy, UGE, EUS, ERCP. Patient Volume and Support Approximately 25–35 patients per day, shared with the nurse practitioner. Admission required: Yes. Support staff: 1 nurse practitioner (Mon–Fri). Call Information Call schedule: 24 hours. Not very busy on weeknights or weekends. Technology EMR system: Cerner. Credentialing Credentialing timeline is 60 days once all documents are presented.
