Job Title: Pharmaceutical Production Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Woburn, MA (On-site)
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Production Technician to support the packaging and labeling of medications. This role plays an important part in ensuring hospital customers receive safe, accurate, and high-quality medication products for patient care.

The Production Technician will be responsible for repackaging medications into various unit-dose formats, operating and maintaining packaging equipment, preparing accurate labels, and following established quality and regulatory procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform unit-dose medication packaging and complete daily production orders accurately and efficiently.
• Repackage oral solid medications into unit-dose formats.
• Fill medication cups, vials, and syringes according to established specifications.
• Operate packaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain adequate supplies at the workstation to support daily production needs.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance, cleaning, and routine adjustments on packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate problems when necessary.
• Generate accurate packaging labels in accordance with verification procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all SOPs, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
• Perform all duties with a strong focus on accuracy, product quality, and patient safety.

Training Schedule:

Important: The first 4–5 weeks will require training during first-shift hours of 6:30 AM–3:00 PM . Upon successful completion of training, the employee will transition to the regular 2nd-shift schedule of 3:30 PM–12:00 AM .

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic working knowledge of computers and Windows-based systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to work accurately, reliably, and efficiently.
• Demonstrated attendance and dependability.
• Ability to perform the gross and fine motor movements required for medication packaging and labeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with mechanical packaging equipment.
• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy, pharmacy, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environment.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, and twist as required.
• Ability to perform repetitive gross and fine manipulation activities associated with packaging and labeling.
