Our client, a healthcare company, is looking for a pharmacist for their Uniondale, NY location.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
- Ensuring that the supply of medicines is within the law.
- Ensuring that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable.
- Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients ensure proper management of patient records and pharmacy files.
- Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Compound medications for external or internal use.
- Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.
- Supervise pharmacy staff members including pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, etc.
- Identify patients' drug-related problems and effectively communicate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners.
- Work in conjunction with physicians, nurses, other pharmacists, pharmacy interns, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy
- IV experience preferred
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
- Licensed by the state pharmacy board.
