Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS Must-Have Skills: Arterial line management Care of ventilated patients Central line care/management Continuous IV sedation General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pediatric Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) Interpretation of dysrhythmias Isolation precautions/PPE IV vasopressors Management of dysrhythmias Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Triage Description: The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting. This unit does not accept first-time travelers. Weekend commitment is required every other weekend. Floating within the facility and scope of practice may be necessary as needed. Full compliance is required to start on time; if not compliant in time, there may be a push back of 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed within specified timeframes. All RTO requests must be finalized at the time of submission. No requests for RTO or schedule changes can be made post-offer.
