North Carolina Licensed Attorney | Fully Remote MW Talent is partnering with a high-volume personal injury law firm to hire a Personal Injury Attorney licensed in North Carolina. The firm is seeking an attorney with both pre-litigation and litigation experience who is comfortable managing a high-volume personal injury caseload. The attorney will oversee cases from intake through settlement or litigation, guide legal support teams, communicate with clients, negotiate with insurance companies, and help move cases toward successful resolution. Candidates with active bar licenses in multiple states are highly desired. This role is ideal for an attorney who understands the full personal injury case process and is comfortable handling matters at different stages, from initial intake and settlement negotiations through filing, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation. • Manage a high-volume personal injury caseload from intake through settlement or litigation
• Develop case strategies based on liability, damages, insurance coverage, and case value
• Handle both pre-litigation and litigation matters
• Work closely with case managers, paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys
• Review case progress and ensure files move forward efficiently
• Communicate regularly with clients and provide clear case updates
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, lienholders, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members
• Evaluate medical records, damages, liability, insurance coverage, and settlement value
• Prepare and review demand packages, pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
• Conduct or participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
• Identify cases that should move into litigation and manage the transition
• Review settlement documents, medical balances, liens, and disbursement information
• Maintain accurate case notes, records, deadlines, and documentation
• Guide and support case managers, paralegals, and legal assistants
• Help improve case-management processes, team communication, and client service What We Are Looking For
• Active North Carolina bar license required
• Personal injury experience required
• Experience in both pre-litigation and litigation required
• Experience managing personal injury cases from intake through settlement or litigation
• Multiple active state bar licenses highly desired
• Experience guiding case managers, paralegals, legal assistants, or junior attorneys preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical records, damages, liability, insurance coverage, demands, discovery, and settlement negotiations
• Experience with pleadings, motions, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
• Ability to manage a high case volume efficiently
• Strong negotiation, communication, writing, and decision-making skills
• Organized and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Strong client-service skills
• Stable work history
