How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Use independent judgment to plan shifts, set daily priorities based on patient/physician dynamics, and ensure adequate materials and supplies are available.

• Assign, direct, and monitor nursing and support staff while developing and distributing patient care assignments that align with productivity standards.

• Assess daily patient care needs to ensure population-appropriate care, and justify any productivity variances to the unit manager.

• Provide input into staff hiring, training, and evaluations, and manage patient care complaints through established channels.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
