DietitianContract position for a dietitian in the Nutrition department. The role requires working weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required for consideration. Candidates must possess the necessary certifications to practice as a dietitian. The position entails managing an average patient workload of 10-15 patients per day. Collaboration with other healthcare disciplines such as MDs, RNs, SLPs, Diabetes Educators, and Case Managers is essential. Flexibility in covering patients throughout the facility is necessary. Dress code includes olive green scrubs. The department maintains a focus on best practices for wound care initiatives. Dietitians receive nutrition consult referrals when wound care is consulted. Candidates with NICU experience are preferred but not required. Mobile communication apps are utilized for ease in relaying nutrition recommendations. Order-writing privileges are granted for adding oral supplements and modifying diet orders once the initial order is placed by an MD.
