Life Skills and Transition Center (LSTC) in Grafton, North Dakota, is seeking a Psychometrist Intern to join our team and help make a difference in the lives of some of North Dakota’s most vulnerable people.As a Psychometrist Intern, you will be part of a team working toward a healthier North Dakota by leading with LIGHT and recognizing that every person has different strengths, experiences and needs. Your work will help ensure the people we serve receive thoughtful, individualized support that helps them live their healthiest and most fulfilling lives.You will gain hands on experience while training under the direction of a licensed clinical psychologist. You will learn how to administer and score psychological assessments and assist with their interpretation. You will accurately score assessments using appropriate testing standards while documenting detailed behavioral observations. The information you gather will help the psychologist better understand each person and determine the support and services that may best meet their individual needs.You will also assist the psychologist in providing psychological interventions to individuals and groups based on referrals. You will learn how positive supports and different approaches to psychotherapy can be used to meet individual needs. You will understand that there is not a one size fits all approach to care and that what works for one person may not work for another. By taking the time to understand the person behind the assessment, you will help create meaningful and person centered support.To thrive in this position, you should be detail oriented, organized and comfortable following established testing procedures. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly document your observations and findings.To be considered for this position you must be enrolled in a graduate Psychology program.
