SCADA Programming TechnicianHF Sinclair Midstream located in Tulsa, OK is seeking a SCADA Programming Technician. This position conducts mid to high level hardware/software field assignments for the Pipeline SCADA department under minimal supervision. May direct or lead the work of others from time-to-time.Job Duties:Develops and designs control systems for pipeline/terminal controlPrograms PLCs for the design and implementation of windows based softwareMaintains and programs PLCs and field HMIsDesigns and sets up network structures for field communicationConducts communication testing for field sitesDevelops system application specifications utilizing business knowledge and tests developed programs to ensure proper functionality and implementationEstablishes processes to resolve problems and provides top tier support to system operators and field personnel on the use of field SCADA systemsDevelops and maintains system documentation, and documents current field site network configuration and user requirementsProvides Communication (SAT) PLC Programming, Wonderware and/or ClearSCADA software maintenance, and the upkeep of field server and dataRelocates technical equipment to and from an assigned locationWork with all departments and 3rd party companies concerning SCADAAssist I&E group with troubleshooting field issuesSpecial assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretionExperience:A minimum of three years of on-the-job experience is required.Control operations experience is preferred.Education Level:A minimum of an Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications or related field is preferred.Required Skills:Mid-level knowledge of PLC programming, pipeline and/or terminal software, and ability to apply this knowledge to pipeline and/or terminal operations and technology.Working knowledge of DOT safety rules and regulations.Good organizational, time-management, ability to effectively communicate with others, both in written and verbal communication, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.Experience with VSAT communication, Telvent OaSys DNA SCADA software, PLC equipment, Juniper network equipment, Wonderware Intouch software, ClearSCADA software, Top Tech software, Telvent Guardian software.Basic reading and writing skills.Preferred Skills:Experience with PLC 9030/versamax hardware and Proficy Machine Edition is preferred.Knowledge/experience with Top Tech TMS 6 and/or Telvent Guardian software is also preferred.Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility:May manage contractors and supplier representatives and direct or lead the work of others from time-to-time.Work Conditions:Office and field based with up to 50% travel by land and air required.Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, loud noises, vibrations, working in confined spaces, and exposure to the risk of electrical shock.Subject to all temperatures including outdoors, weather and varying road conditions.Benefits:HF Sinclair offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our employees and their families.
