Brayman Construction is hiring a full-time Project Site Safety Representative for a construction project in Cincinnati, OH. This position will be dedicated to supporting the project team and workforce throughout the duration of the assignment. This is a project-specific, contract position.CONTRACT POSITION DETAILSPosition: Site Safety Project RepresentativeEmployment Type: Full-Time, ContractContract Duration: Approximately 6 monthsProject Location: Cincinnati, OH areaAssignment: Dedicated project-based safety role for the duration of the contractSite Safety Representative SummaryThe Site Safety Project Representative will foster and maintain a proactive approach to safety, promoting an employee-centered safety culture on the project. Reporting directly to the Corporate Safety Director, this role will support and assist the project workforce by conducting safety training, assessing jobsites for hazards, and implementing corrective measures.Summary of Site Safety Project Representative Duties & Responsibilities:Conduct new employee orientations and ensure compliance with the site drug testing program.Develop and conduct training as needed at the project, including, but not limited to, fall protection, confined space, personal protective equipment, first aid/CPR, signal person, and Hazard Communication.Write, review, and modify site-specific safety policies and procedures.Ensure jobsite compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations, as well as Corporate Policies and Procedures.Lead incident investigation efforts, document findings, and assist in developing lessons learned to help prevent recurrence.Conduct jobsite safety inspections, including inspection of power tools, cords, and other potential hazards.Conduct PPE inspections, order and replace PPE, and administer related training.Summary of Site Safety Project Representative Required Skills & Abilities:Detail-oriented, excellent communicator with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and take initiative.Willingness to work on a construction project in Cincinnati, OH for the duration of the 8-month contract assignment.Comfortable working in an active construction environment and supporting field employees on a daily basis.Comfortable working and teaching knowledge of Hazard Communication, Use of P.P.E., First-Aid/CPR & AED, Trench Shoring, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Blood Borne Pathogens, OSHA Regulations, Forklift, Silica, and Mobile Cranes.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and other related computer software.Site Safety Project Representative Required Education & Experience:5+ years of safety experience in the general construction industry, preferably civil infrastructure and heavy highway construction OR BS in Safety with 3 years of relevant experience.30-hour OSHA Construction Safety class or its equivalent.OSHA 500 Trainer and First Aid/CPR Instructor preferred.For a complete job description and list of responsibilities, please visit our career page at BRAYMAN CONSTRUCTION We are a leading heavy civil and geotechnical contractor with office headquarters in suburban Pittsburgh. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, around chemicals, which require a government permit, around high voltage, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis.
