Regional Nurse ConsultantAre you ready to make a change?We are seeking an experienced Regional Nurse Consultant to support our long-term care and skilled nursing facilities across the region. This position will provide hands-on clinical support, assist with regulatory compliance, strengthen nursing systems, and help stabilize buildings during leadership transitions, survey preparation, staffing challenges, or operational need.The Regional Nurse Consultant will work closely with facility Administrators, Directors of Nursing, Regional Operations, and clinical leadership to improve resident outcomes, maintain survey readiness, and ensure consistent nursing practices across assigned facilities.This is a travel position. Preference to local.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide regional clinical support to assigned long-term care/skilled nursing facilitiesAssist DONs, ADONs, and nursing leadership with daily clinical operationsSupport survey readiness and compliance with state and federal regulationsConduct clinical audits and follow-up reviewsReview high-risk areas, including falls, wounds, infection control, weight loss, psychotropics, incidents, and hospital readmissionsAssist with Plans of Correction and ongoing compliance monitoringProvide staff education and coaching as neededSupport nursing documentation, care planning, and clinical follow-throughHelp stabilize facilities during DON vacancies or nursing leadership transitionsPartner with facility and regional leadership to identify trends and implement corrective actionTravel to assigned buildings based on clinical risk, survey windows, vacancies, and operational prioritiesQualificationsActive RN license requiredLong-term care/skilled nursing experience requiredPrior DON, ADON, Unit Manager, or Nurse Consultant experience preferredStrong knowledge of state and federal nursing home regulationsExperience with survey readiness, audits, and Plans of Correction preferredAbility to train, coach, and support nursing teamsStrong communication, organization, and follow-through skillsAbility to travel regionally as neededMulti-facility experience preferred but not requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary or hourly rateMileage reimbursementLodging reimbursement when overnight travel is requiredMeal reimbursement for approved overnight travelLicensure reimbursement as neededOpportunity to support multiple facilities and improve clinical outcomesRegional leadership growth opportunityHealth InsuranceDental & VisionPTOHoliday Pay401k after 1 year of employment
