Job Summary

Join a dedicated surgical team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Circulator at Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio. This role offers a dynamic environment supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including Urology, ENT, Vascular, OBGYN, Cardiothoracic, General, and Acute Care Surgery.

The successful candidate will provide expert nursing care during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, with no call, weekend, or holiday requirements, promoting a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures across various specialties.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Ensure the maintenance of a sterile field and adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Manage and coordinate the operating room environment, including equipment and supplies.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Prepare the operating room for upcoming cases, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available and in date.
• Respond to urgent and emergent situations with critical thinking and decisive action.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Prior experience as an OR Circulator.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Specialty certification (e.g., CNOR).

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
