Within the Radiology and Imaging department, the Multi-Modality Radiology Technologist will thrive in a Diagnostic Imaging environment built around efficient workflows, quick consult access, and modern suites that make every scan count, and this Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will directly support emergency, inpatient, and outpatient needs while benefiting from strong community trust and loyal patient volumes; full-service facility dedicated to the health and well-being of the Middle Keys. Located in Marathon, the hospital has proudly served the community since 1962. Open 24/7, the hospital features an Emergency Department with an on-site helipad for critical transport, along with surgical care, orthopedic services, physical therapy and rehabilitation. Patients have access to advanced diagnostic imaging — including MRI, CT scans and 3D mammography — and outpatient cancer infusion therapy guided by a multidisciplinary oncology team.
This Multi-Modality Radiology Technologist reports to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager with day-to-day guidance from Lead Technologists and close collaboration with board-certified Radiologists; expect comprehensive support from PACS administrators, clinical educators, and biomedical engineering, as well as friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team that values respect, communication, and coordinated care; core responsibilities for the Radiologic Technologist include delivering high-quality MRI, CT, X-ray, and related studies using ALARA principles, preparing and educating patients, performing contrast injections per protocol, maintaining ACR/TJC-ready quality documentation, optimizing throughput, assisting with scheduling prioritization, supporting on-call/weekend rotations as needed, contributing to modality QA, and mentoring peers or students to advance professional practice.
