SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides each client with quality nursing and medical services within the scope of their license and under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. This person is a medical professional who actively supports and implements the established treatment goals and principles of the agency. The LPN treats children, adolescents, and adults within the context of recognizable and sound medical standards.YCCS and ACCS are short-term crisis stabilization units within Acute Care Services for children and adolescents up to age 18, and adults 18 and older. The primary function CCS is to provide short-term crisis stabilization, therapeutic intervention, and specialized programming in a staff secure environment with a high degree of supervision and structure.AVAILABLE SHIFTS: Tuesday: 3pm-11pm, Wednesday: 3pm-11pm, Saturday: 3pm-11pm & 11pm-7am, Sunday: 7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm$1 per hour Language Differential! Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.Job Responsibilities & Essential FunctionsFill physician ordersAdminister medication and engage in a medication reconciliation processTake/monitor vital signsCoordinate medical careContribute to comprehensive assessmentBrief crisis counselingIndividualized crisis prevention planningProvide psychoeducationAssist with discharge planning and care coordinationMonitor vital signs inclusive of withdrawal symptomsWork with Mental health Counselors in ensuring an environment that promotes safety, recovery, and treatmentAssist Nurse Manager in filling physician ordersParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetingConduct Nursing assessments for incoming youth and adultsProvide case consultation with clients, guardians, providers, and families of youth as indicatedMust be available to work on-call within a rotating scheduleMaintain a high quality of work at all timesMaintain a positive working relationship with agency staff, supervisors, and community contactsMaintain a level of professionalismMaintain regular and timely attendancePossess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsPromote high staff morale and team atmosphere within departmentAll 24-hour/Acute Care Services program staff are considered essential. Essential staff are defined as personnel who are expected to report to work as scheduled, regardless of holidays and/or during any emergency situation and/or agency closing (i.e., inclement weather) to ensure the ongoing operations of the program.Due to the type of work and client needs, this position may need to work beyond a forty-hour work week.
