Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, caring for patients with high-risk pregnancies and providing exceptional neonatal support.

Unit Information

The Labor and Delivery/OB unit features:

• Number of Beds: 23
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC); 6 Registered Nurses (RNs); 2 Certified Surgical Technologists (CST); 3 Operating Room RNs; 1 Secretary
  • Night Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC); 4-6 Registered Nurses (RNs); 1 Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); 1 Secretary
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Type of Equipment: Standard nursing and monitoring equipment for labor and delivery
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: CPN/Meditech
• Floating Requirement: Within women's services (Postpartum/Antepartum)

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• 1 year of travel experience in high-risk obstetrics Labor and Delivery
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP (Intermediate Fetal Monitoring)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the OBED (Obstetric Emergency Department)
• High-risk and high-volume OB experience

Unit Activities and Procedures

The unit is involved in providing comprehensive care including:

• Managing high-risk obstetric care, including magnesium and insulin drips
• Circulating and scrubbing during cesarean sections and other procedures
